Hi, everyone! Thank you for visiting my website! Here's a little bit more about me.
My name is Kelli Quintero and I am a 2nd grade teacher at Mize Elementary School in Shawnee, Kansas. I love teaching 2nd grade! I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I remember looking forward to spending time with my mom in her 3rd and 4th grade classrooms, helping out in any way I could. I wasn't much older than her students when I first knew teaching was something I wanted to do as a grown up. After graduating from Kansas State University in 2005, I couldn't wait to meet my first class of students. My first class was an amazing group of first graders. I enjoyed teaching first grade for four years before making the switch to second grade. Second grade is the best age level of students to teach. The students love school, their peers and teachers, they are transitioning into more independent learners, and they have such a positive and fun outlook on life.
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband, Boris, and our dog Mocha. We enjoy going to dog parks, going running, going to local Farmer's Markets and coffee houses, shopping, traveling, and trying out new restaurants.
